Innovative Strategies for Successful Flow Assurance in Offshore Operations

Thursday, 7 May
Room 610
Technical Session
This session highlights critical flow assurance challenges in deepwater production, including hydrates, wax deposition, scales, and other multiphase flow issues, that must be addressed in order to maintain uninterrupted production across upstream systems and drive operational excellence in offshore oil and gas developments. The papers in this session discuss integrated modeling approaches, and data-driven techniques that enable operators to better predict, prevent, and mitigate flow assurance risks across upstream systems. From lifecycle-based assessments and surfactant-rich flowline modeling to advanced hydrate prediction techniques, these contributions demonstrate how best engineering practices are key in offshore production strategies.
