Offshore well completions are evolving toward electrically controlled, intelligent systems that improve production optimization, reliability and reservoir management. Milestones such as fully electric intelligent completions, advanced multizone control and AI-enabled applications are expanding the capabilities of offshore wells, including ultra-deepwater developments. New integrity assessment methods and risk-based screening tools support more effective monitoring, intervention and remediation across the full well lifecycle. At the same time, advances in well interception, magnetic ranging and directional surveying are helping address complex abandonment challenges while strengthening well-control preparedness and operational resilience.
