From Monitoring to Prediction: Advancing Fatigue Life Management for Offshore Assets

04 May 2027
Room 604
Technical Session
Fatigue remains one of the leading challenges affecting the safety, reliability, and service life of offshore infrastructure. As operators seek to extend asset life while managing increasingly complex operating environments, new approaches are emerging that combine advanced analytics, monitoring systems, and digital technologies with traditional fatigue engineering. This session presents the latest innovations in fatigue life assessment and management for offshore risers, pipelines, wellheads, subsea equipment, and floating systems. Attendees will gain insights into digital twin applications, monitoring-based fatigue forecasting, VIV and wave-induced fatigue evaluation, corrosion-fatigue interactions, fatigue screening methodologies, and life extension strategies for aging assets. Through real-world case studies and emerging technologies, the session demonstrates how the industry is moving from reactive assessment toward predictive fatigue management and integrity assurance. Who Should Attend: Structural, subsea, riser, pipeline, drilling, and integrity management engineers; analysts involved in fatigue and reliability assessments; asset integrity specialists; and operators focused on extending offshore asset life.
